American Banker: Most Powerful in Women in Banking and Finance

The American Banker just issued its list of the 25 most powerful women in banking and finance. According to Susan Harper, the President of the Financial Woman’s Association,
“We only constitute 2% to 3% of the heads of companies — major corporations.... There is the challenge of getting women into the pipeline of senior ranks. There’s the challenge of retaining women,” says Susan Harper, president of the Financial Women’s Association (FWA). “There are incredible training programs that are being developed. They’re very innovative, and they’re moving things along, as they say, ‘inch by bloody inch.’”
