Ameriprise Increases Dividend
December 8, 2011
The Board of Directors of Ameriprise Financial declared a $0.28 per common share dividend, payable 2/24/12 - an increase of 5¢ from current levels. With this latest declaration, AMP dividends have increased 56% since Q2 of 2011. Between dividends and share repurchases, Ameriprise has returned some $1.4 billion to shareholders in just the first 9 months of 2011.
Inasmuch as Ameriprise has been rated as a 'buy' in many analsyst reports, the firm believes it is fulfilling the expectations of the Street. [Business Wire - Ameriprise Financl, 12/7/11]
