Another Goldman Partner Retires

February 23, 2012
[ by Melanie Gretchen ] Goldman Sachs announced in an internal memo that an 18-year veteran of the firm who became a partner one decade ago, is retiring.  Howard Wietschner, 44, helped form the bank’s hedge fund industry group in 2007.  That group offers advisory services for alternative asset managers. During his Goldman career, Wietschner also served as co-head of the U.S. convertibles desk and ran relative value sales and trading;  he began in the firm's convertible sales group.  Prior to joining Goldman, Wietschner spent 3 years at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP.
