Blankfein Attends to Personal Matters

March 19, 2013

Spends Weekend in Miami.

[ by Melanie Gretchen ]

Lloyd Blankfein left the Goldman Sachs executive suite long enough to celebrate the wedding of his oldest son, Alexander, 27, on Saturday at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami.  Under a chuppah and a canopy of trees, the younger Blankfein wed Cristina Mercedes Ros, 26, a founder of Circle of Women, a group in Cambridge, MA, that promotes women’s education.

The bridge and groom met at Harvard, where they are currently working toward their MBA degrees.  After the ceremony, officiated by Rabbi Judy Kempler, the couple danced under a tent throughout the evening.  At one point, they read prepared remarks, and the elder Mr. Blankfein gave a speech.

Beginning September, Alexander Blankfein, who's has worked at his father's firm, will begin his career in earnest as a consultant at Bain & Company.
