BofA Names New Global Head of Real Estate

Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, which has been plagued by mortgage woes, has promoted an insider to be  global head of real estate, gaming and lodging.  Jeff Horowitz is replacing current head Ron Sturzenneger, who is moving up to head the Legacy Asset Servicing divisions.There, he'll handle the bank's tens of billions in troubled mortgages.

Mr. Horowitz, who has been head of Americas real estate since 2009 - and before that was global head of Merrill Lynch real estate, will be reporting to Paul Donofrio, Christian Meissner and Michael Rubinoff, co-heads of global corporate and investment banking.   [Dealbook, 8/23/11]
