BofA Senior Lawyer Moves to Simpson Thacher

March 4, 2011

The law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett announced the hiring of Stacie McGinn, who will be a partner specializing in financial services regulation.  She most recently was a deputy general counsel at Bank of America, where she was responsible for overseeing the firm’s legal team devoted to global consumer operations.  Ms. McGinn was previously a partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.   Ms. McGinn's financial regulations expertise will be invaluable to clients as they implement the reforms and new regulations derived from the Dodd-Frank Act.

"Adding an attorney of Stacie’s caliber enhances the capabilities of our financial institutions practice and gives us an expanded ability to advise our wide range of banking and financial services clients on the full spectrum of regulatory issues affecting them."  -- Lee Meyerson, head of Simpson Thacher’s M&A and Financial Institutions Practices.    [NYT Dealbook, 3/3]
