[ by Melanie Gretchen ] Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP added a partner to its New York securities practice and investment management group;  the new partner also will head the alternative investment practice.  Drew Chapman joins the firm from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, where he was partner in the financial services practice. Mr. Chapman's practice focuses on alternative investment, asset management, and financial services industries.  He's handled transactional, structuring, and fund formation, among other things.  He's also dealt with some leading hedge funds and HF service providers during the 15 years he's spent in private practice.   [Bloomberg, 6/14/12]
