CBOE Rulemaking for October 2012
[ by Howard Haykin ]
The SEC received 6 rule filings from CBOE and issued approvals on 2 previously submitted filings in October. Five of the 6 proposed rule changes were filed for immediate effectiveness. The 6th filing relates to CBOE's proposal to update CBOE Rule 31.10, Corporate Governance, which would bring that rule into compliance with new Rule 10C-1 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
We do not provide analysis of any of the rule filings listed below, which can be accessed using the hyperlink provided at the end of this post. Instead, we address critical and key rule changes in separate posts.
Our immediate purpose is to provide C-I members with an overview of recent and relevant CBOE rulemaking. We encourage our members to share their views on any of these rule filings. E-mail comments to Info@Compliance-Insights.com, and please advise us if we publish your comments - with or without mentioning your identity.
