Citadel Securities Closing - Bankers, Admin Staff Find Home
Wells Fargo Securities, agreed to hire a team of 25 investment bankers and related administrative staff from Citadel Securities. The agreement between the 2 companies also involves the transfer of Citadel Securities’ related investment banking business to Wells Fargo Securities.
Brian Maier, a 26-year veteran, who most recently headed Investment Banking at Citadel Securities and had previously worked for Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs, joins Wells Fargo Securities as a Vice Chairman in Client Coverage. He'll be based in New York and will report to Rob Engel and Jonathan Weiss, co-heads of Investment Banking at Wells Fargo Securities.
Mr. Maier is joined by the these MD's: Stephen Gerson (Financial Technologies); Aviv Laurence (Gaming and Leisure); Paul Pepe (leads newly formed Corporate Finance team within Wells Fargo); Stavros Tsibiridis (M&A).
