February 23, 2012
[ by Melanie Gretchen ] A former assistant regional director of the SEC will join the New York office of Philadelphia-based Cozen O’Connor LLP.  Joseph Dever will oversee the firm's securities litigation and SEC enforcement practice group, largely representing and counseling clients on government probes and regulatory matters involving the SEC and FINRA.  Mr. Dever is well suited for this task, since he spent 8 years at the SEC supervising over 100 investigations. Before joining the SEC, Mr. Dever was a litigation associate at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP for 6 years.  He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown and his law degree from Temple's Beasley School of Law.
