Fed Reportedly Floats Idea of Printing New U.S. Currency to Counter Projected 2012 U.S. Deficit

February 10, 2012
On Monday, President Obama will submit to Congress his fiscal 2012 budget request, which will forecast a deficit of $1.33 trillion, and include recommended spending of hundreds of billions on proposed infrastructure, according to the Wall Street Journal. The projected deficit is higher than the $1.296 trillion deficit in 2011 and slightly higher than a $1.15 trillion or so projection released by the Congressional Budget Office last week.  For further details:  [WSJ Online, 1/10/12]. Think the above $1.3 trillion has anything to do with President Obama's projected deficit of ~$1.3 trillion for fiscal year 2012?
