FINRA Extends Trading Pilots
FINRA recently extended pilot periods for rules governing clearly erroneous transactions and trading pauses. FINRA Rule 11892, governing clearly erroneous transactions in exchange-listed securities, will continue through 8/11/11, or until adoption of a limit up / limit down mechanism to address extraordinary market volatility. [Rule Filing 11-14, 3/30/11]
FINRA Rule 6121, Trading Halts Due to Extraordinary Market Volatility, also has been extended through 8/11/11, or until adoption of the limit up / limit down mechanism. [Rule Filing 11-15, 3/30/11]
