Jon Corzine: Anything But a 'Stuffed Shirt'
December 14, 2011
[ by Melanie Gretchen ]
Jon Corzine is having a hard time, needless to say. And, you certainly wouldn't want to be in his SHOES - but perhaps in his SHIRT. Continue reading.
• First: MF Global went bankrupt and, in the process, $1.2 billion in customer funds may have disappeared. Suddenly, Jon Corzine is a household name - and he's instantly recognizable by everyday Americans far from Wall Street and New Jersey.
• Next: He testifies at a Congressional hearing. Over the course of 2-1/2 hours, Jon Corzine appears to many as having caused the firm's demise, that caused employees their jobs and customers their money. Some liken Jon to Bernie Madoff and other criminals. Neither he nor Bernie has been able to account for the missing money - and neither has elicited much sympathy.
• Now: Appearing on T-shirts near you. Jon Corzine has been featured on a T-Shirt - a good image, in fact - scampering with a bag of (someone's) money. The designer and manufacturer claims to have sold about a hundred shirts - at least someone's making money out of this travesty. Ouch. Best of all, you too can own the shirt. It's available at............ www.DontBeACorzine.com.
Like we said at the start, Jon Corzine may be many things, but a 'stuffed shirt' is not one of them.
