JPMorgan Adds Risk Expert

August 27, 2012
[ by Melanie Gretchen ] JPMorgan Chase & Co. has added a noted risk specialist to its Board of Directors.  Former KPMG Chairman Tim Flynn, 55,  was added to the to the Board in May and recently appointed to the Board's Risk Committee.  The hiring augments the Board's risk management after an internal probe attributed a $5.8 billion trading loss in London to lax controls. Mr. Flynn, according to a March news release, helmed KPMG International from 2007 until he retired in October, according to the bank.  Up until Mr. Flynn's arrival, the risk committee was staffed by 3 board members, only one of whom had Wall Street experience – James Crown – who hadn't worked in the industry for more than 25 years.
