JPMorgan CEO Takes Home a King's Ransom for 2011

[ by Melanie Gretchen ] JPMorgan Chase, the largest and most profitable U.S. bank, under the guidance of CEO Jamie Dimon reported its second straight year of record profits - in 2011 the bank booked net income of $19 billion.  Appropriately, the bank rewarded Mr. Dimon, 56, a compensation package of $23 million for 2011, about the same as he took home fir 2010. Those numbers far exceeded Mr. Dimon's comp package for for 2009, when he took home salary of $1 million with no bonus. Rising with the Tide. Following the European sovereign-debt crisis, JPMorgan raised his 2011 salary to $1.5 million, and issued him for the year $17 million in restricted stock and options.  Mr. Dimon also received $4.5 million in cash bonus. The Best-Paid Bankers. And so, Jamie Dimon remains among the nation’s best-paid bankers.  By comparison, BofA CEO Brian Moynihan received a compensation package for 2011 of $7 million, while Citi CEO Vikram Pandit ho received $14.9 million.  JPMorgan's CEO for the investment bank, Jes Staley, whose numbers fell about 6% from 2010 - neverless received $16 million, including $5.3 in million cash bonus, $7.95 million in restricted stock units, and $2 million in options.
