JPMorgan's New High Ranking Women Executives
November 14, 2011
Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan, has promoted two members of his compliance and legal senior leadership team. Lauren Tyler, head of Investor Relations, has been named General Auditor of the firm and a member of JPM's company-wide Executive Committee, effective immediately. Martha Gallo, who previously held that position, was named head of global compliance and regulatory management. Both are now among the highest ranking women at the bank.
Apparently, Ms. Gallo needed no introduction in the bank's internal memo. Mr. Dimon, however, took time to introduce Lauren Tyler.
Ms. Tyler has managed the bank's relationships with investors and research analysts for the past 2-1/2 years. Earlier this year she honored as "Best Investor Relations Professional" in the large-cap bank category by Institutional Investor magazine. Ms. Tyler will report to both Mr. Dimon and Labe Jackson, Chairman of the Audit Committee of our Board of Directors.
Before joining the IR team, Lauren Tyler was an MD in JPM's Investment Bank, and has extensive experience as a partner in the private equity field, where she was a member of the board of directors of over a dozen portfolio companies of our heritage and non-heritage institutions. The bank is currently looking for a successor to Lauren in her Investor Relations role. [Dealbook, 11/14/11]
