Knight Updates its Upper Ranks

Knight Capital Group, Inc. has promoted two long-term employees, from Senior Managing Director to Executive Vice President: (i) General Counsel Len Amoruso; and, (ii) CFO Steven Bisgay.
Mr. Amoruso's Career Highlights & Credentials. Having joined Knight in 1999, Mr. Amoruso has served as Senior Managing Director and CCO since 2003; in May 2007, he was promoted to the position of General Counsel. He's responsible for the firm's legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs, and has overseen the continued build-out of the firm's legal and compliance control structure, including corporate governance, supervision and surveillance. He also helps shape the firm's global views on regulatory policy and remains an important part of the public discourse on key market structure initiatives.
Prior to joining the parent company, Mr. Amoruso, a securities industry veteran with over 20 years experience, Mr. Amoruso served as CCO and Assistant General Counsel for Knight subsidiary, Knight Securities, L.P. (nka Knight Capital Americas, L.P.) and as Deputy Director of FINRA's District 10 Office in New York. He received of a BBA degree in banking, finance, and investments from Hofstra in 1986 and a juris doctor from Hofstra School of Law in 1989.
Mr. Bisgay's Career Highlights and Credentials. Having joined Knight in 2001, Mr. Bisgay has served as CFO since August 2007. He is responsible for all financial aspects of the firm, including accounting and taxation, risk management, treasury and capital management, Sarb-Ox compliance, and business development. During the firm's expansion, Mr. Bisgay has overseen the development of Knight's finance infrastructure, including financial controls and processes, treasury operations, as well as market, credit, and liquidity risk management.
Mr. Bisgay, as well, has been in the securities and financial services industry for over 20 years. Prior to assuming the role of CFO, he served as the firm's Managing Director of Business Development from 2005 to 2007, as Group Controller from 2003 to 2005, and as Director of Internal Audit from 2001 to 2003. Mr. Bisgay is a CPA who worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 1989 to 2001, serving as a Senior Manager in the Financial Service Practice. He received a BS in Accounting from Binghamton, SUNY, in 1989, and an MBA from Columbia in 2000.
