Auditing firm KPMG LLP will acquire EquaTerra, a privately-owned outsourcing advisory firm.  KPMG expects the deal to help it better address clients' need for building more efficient businesses, in the backdrop of huge transformations in technology.  EquaTerra helps companies become more efficient in IT information-technology services and other business processes such as managing customer relationships and supply chain logistics - this includes emerging technologies such as cloud computing, new ways to store information in corporate data centers as well as the global nature of sourcing and selling products have pushed companies to reassess their IT and business strategies, Mr. Goodburn said.  [WSJournal, 2/21]
