LPL Financial Fills New Exec Position - Human Capital, Talent Acquisitions

LPL Financial LLC, one of the nation's largest independent broker-dealers and a wholly owned subsidiary of LPL Investment Holdings, announced that they filled a newly-created position that will be responsible for managing the company's overall human capital and talent acquisitions strategy.
Sallie Larsen, the firm's selection, ... will serve as Managing Director and Chief Human Capital Officer, and will oversee the company's overall human capital and talent acquisition strategies. She'll report to LPL Financial Chairman and CEO Mark Casady, and be based in San Diego, CA.
Ms. Larsen's responsibilities will include oversight of issues relating to real estate, facilities, and corporate communication as a member of the firm's executive management committee.
Ms. Larsen's Background. She has spent more than 3 decades in her current field, beginning as an HR and talent management professional at technology and business services firm TRW, Inc. Since 2008, she also served was Chief HR Officer for the Federal Home Loan Bank – Office of Finance (FHLB-OF), and previously in senior HR roles at Capital One Financial and Marriott International.
Ms. Larsen earned a Masters Degree in communications from Purdue, and a BA in Sociology (summa cum laude) from California Lutheran. More recently she earned an executive leadership coaching certification from Georgetown University. [Daily News, 5/17/12].
