[ by Howard Haykin ]
The MSRB once again has upgraded its EMMA (Electronic Municipal Market Access) Web site, with the addition of "MyEMMA," a free tool that provides customized access to municipal securities information available on the site.
According to MSRB Executive Director Lynnette Kelly, the new service features "provide a way for EMMA website users to manage the information they access and receive from EMMA." MyEMMAprovides market participants with "greater control over their user experience with EMMA and facilitate access to EMMA’s search and alerts features."
New features include:
- users can save and modify frequently used sets of search criteria - e.g.,
- e.g., users can identify particular municipal securities with specific features or characteristics.
- e.g., users can identify municipal securities that meet certain criteria, including maturity date, credit rating and interest rate - through advanced filters.
- users get an enhanced way to view and manage alerts, enabling them to stay up to date when information about an individual security or group of securities becomes available on EMMA.
- e.g., users can view recent alerts and access historical alert information.
- e.g., users can manage types of updates they wish to receive for each security, and add or remove securities.
EMMA currently houses information on:
- more than 1.2 million outstanding municipal securities,
- more than 700,000 disclosure documents - e.g., official statements, annual financial information and event-based notices,
