Nasdaq Options Market Launches NOM 2.0
On Friday, August 26, Nasdaq began the implementation of NOM 2.0, a new program that's expected to revamp the Nasdaq Options Market. The heart of the new program is a bulk quoting functionality imported from sister exhange Phlx. It will permit market makers active on the Phlx to quote more easily on NOM. Five symbols were introduced on Friday. Additional symbols will be subsequently rolled out on a weekly basis; the rollout will be complete on or about September 26.
