President Obama's Take on Wall Street Prosecutions

President Obama, in an interview with Steve Kroft of TV's "60 Minutes" this weekend, saved his most interesting comments for Wall Street, which the President blamed for a lot of the country's economic problems. When asked about the lack of prosecutions related to the financial crisis, Mr. Obama said: "Some of the most damaging behavior on Wall Street - in some cases some of the least ethical behavior on Wall Street - wasn’t illegal.  That’s exactly why we had to change the laws” - i.e., enact the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
