Raymond James: Management Shake-Up

Raymond James Financial Inc., announced a host of high-level management changes at the holding company and its 2 broker-dealers, Raymond James & Associates and Raymond James Financial Services.
Raymond James Financial (RJF) - Holding Co. Dennis Zank was named COO at RJF, succeeding Chet Helck, who will continue to oversee the firm's global private client group. For the past 9 years, Zank has been president of Raymond James & Associates Inc. (RJA).
Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) - Independent Broker-Dealer. Dick Averitt, 66, CEO and chairman of RJFS will step down as the unit's CEO sometime in 2012. He's been in charge since 2002. Scott Curtis, 49, will succeed Mr. Averitt, and serve as president of RJFS and MD of its independent contractor division, effective 1/3/12. Curtis is a protege of Dennis Zank.
Raymond James & Associates (RJA) - Employee Broker-Dealer. Tash Elwyn will become president of RJA's private client business, succeeding Dennis Zank, effective 1/3/12.
