SEC Appoints New Human Resources Director

[ by Melanie Gretchen ] The SEC appointed Lacey Dingman as the Director of the agency's Office of Human Resources, which handles the strategic management of the SEC's human resources.  Previously, she served as the Deputy Managing Executive for the SEC Enforcement Division, and Enforcement's Representative on the SEC Human Capital Advisory Committee. What OHR does. In her new role, Ms. Dingman will work toward OHR's development, implementation and evaluation of the SEC's programs and policies for staffing, recruitment, retention and separations.  Responsible for compensation and benefits, performance management and awards, and employee and labor relations, the office also oversees disability programs, work/life programs, telework, and employee records, including financial disclosure, and professional development. Human Resources also serves as the Commission's liaison to the Office of Personnel Management, professional organizations, other federal agencies, educational institutions, and the private sector, including human capital management activities. Prior to Joining the SEC. In April 2010, Ms. Dingman worked at the CFTC, serving as a forensic investigator and special adviser to the Chairman.  She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
