SEC Considers New Joint Rules

[ by Melanie Gretchen ] The SEC will hold an open meeting on Wednesday, 4/18/12, on whether it will collaborate with the CFTC.  This week, the Commission will consider adopting joint rules with the CFTC relating to the definition of "Swap Dealer," "Security-Based Swap Dealer," "Major Swap Participant," "Major Security-Based Swap Participant," and "Eligible Contract Participant."
