SEC Meets Wednesday to Adopt Hedge and Private Fund Rule

October 24, 2011
At its Open Meeting, the SEC will consider whether to adopt a rule requiring advisers to hedge funds and other private funds to report information for use by the Financial Stability Oversight Council in monitoring risk to the U.S. financial system.  The new Advisers Act rule would implement sections 404 and 406 of the Dodd-Frank Act.
