SEC: Money Market & Systemic Risk

April 27, 2011

The SEC will host a roundtable discussion on money market funds and systemic risk, to include participants from the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC).   The roundtable, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 5/10, will address the potential effectiveness of certain options in mitigating systemic risks associated with money market funds - including options raised by the President’s Working Group in its October 2010 report dealing with possible money market fund reforms.  A list of participants will be published closer to the event date.
