SEC Rescinds Outdated Rules, Forms, Amendments

November 16, 2011
Auction Hunters Looking for a Bargain: The SEC will hold a sale of its outdated rulebook entries, which no longer are needed because they do not conform to changes in federal securities laws.  The event, to be held on a yet-to-be-announced date and location is expected to be a lively affair.

For example, who wouldn't want to be the proud owner of this phrase: ", except that a single statement shall be filed with respect to the securities of a registered public utility holding company and all of its subsidiary companies." [General Instruction 1(c), as if you needed help with this reference.]

For a catalog of the affected rules, amendments, interpretations, forms and references, go to:   [SEC Final Rule Release 33-9273, 11/4/11]
