Stuck for CEP Topics?
October 18, 2010
What firm isn't? Thankfully, FINRA has made available to its members the Fall 2010 Firm Element Advisory (FEA), published annually by SIRCCE, otherwise known as the Securities Industry/Regulatory Council on Continuing Education.
Before you click onthe Fall 2010 FEA, you should be aware of the following:
- The 40-page publication goes from A to Z - i.e., Alternative Investments to Transaction Reporting & Data Dissemination.
- Any topics updated or added since the prior FEA are indicated in the document as such.
- FEA topics are not exhaustive and are intended as a guide to firms when they determine what to include in their training plans.
- Firms, instead, should consider the specific nature of their business, clients, products and services.
- Other resources, from the Council, include: the Firm Element Content Builder, a Web-based tool that can assist firms in developing their Firm Element training plans. It enables users to search an extensive database of regulatory resources related to specific investment products or services and is available at www.cecouncil.com/firm_element/organizer.
