Transfer Agent Registrations to be Cancelled
The SEC has identified certain transfer agents (TA's) whose registrations the Commission plans to cancel, as of 12/15/10. Section 17A(c)(4)(B) of the '34 Securities Act provides that the SEC may cancel the registration with the Commission if that TA is no longer in existence or has ceased to do business as a transfer agent. The list of firms is provided below, after the jump.
In each case, the Commission has made efforts to locate and to determine the status of each of the transfer agents listed below and, based on the facts it has, the Commission believes that each of those transfer agents is no longer in existence or has ceased doing business as a transfer agent. Accordingly, at any time after December 15, 2010, the Commission intends to issue an order cancelling their registrations. For further details, refer to: [SEC Release 34-63211, 10/29]
