Trump Bump Effect on Wall Street Banks

Since learning that Donald Trump had won the presidential election on November 8, 2016, market capitalization of the 10 largest Wall Street banks has risen by a collective $274 billion, or 24% - as of the close of business on Thursday, 4/27. 

 

By comparison:

  • Dow Jones Index has risen 14.5%  (from 18,332.74 to 20,981.33)
  • S&P 500 Index has risen 11.6%  (from 2,139.56 to 2,388.77)
