SEC on Lookout for New Home Near Wall Street

November 29, 2018

The Securities and Exchange Commission seeks to downsize its regional headquarters in New York City. The regulator currently occupies 250,000 at 200 Vesey Street in Brookfield Place - formerly 3 World Financial Center – and is seeking a more efficient space in the range of 175,000 square feet.

According to The NYPost, SEC execs have toured such downtown properties as 55 Water Street, 199 Water Street, 28 Liberty Street, 7 Hanover Square and both One and Three World Trade Center. The Sec might also consider different space in Brookfield Place.

The SEC’s current lease expires in March 2021.
