SEC Promotes Sara Crovitz to Deputy Chief Counsel in Investment Management

December 23, 2016

Sara Crovitz was named Deputy Chief Counsel and Associate Director in the Division of Investment Management’s Chief Counsel’s Office. Ms. Crovitz will assist the Chief Counsel in overseeing legal guidance under the Investment Company and Investment Advisers Acts of 1940. She’ll also focus on strategic collaboration between the Chief Counsel’s Office and other offices within the Division of Investment Management and in the Commission.

 

Ms. Crovitz joined the SEC in 1996 as an attorney in the Office of General Counsel, then joined the Investment Management Division in 1999 – progressing to Assistant Chief Counsel in the Chief Counsel’s Office. Ms. Crovitz joined the SEC from Steptoe & Johnson, where she was an Associate. She received her law and bachelor degrees from the University of Chicago.
